The Marriage Course

What is The Marriage Course?

The Marriage Course is a marriage enrichment course designed to help couples invest in their relationship and build a strong marriage. It’s not just for “broken” marriages, but many marriages have been healed through The Marriage Course. Rather, it’s like a tune-up for your marriage—you tune-up your car so that your car keeps running well for years to come. The Marriage Course is the same kind of thing.

Relax….There is no group work—every evening is arranged around a table-for-two, just you and your spouse or partner. You will not be asked to share anything with anyone other than your spouse!

Nicky and Sila Lee, authors of The Marriage Book, developed The Marriage Course for couples looking for practical support to strengthen their relationship. The course is designed to help couples build strong foundations, learn to communicate more effectively and resolve differences well. Our Fall Course will cover three of the most important topics for any healthy marriage: The Art of Forgiveness, Communication, and Conflict Resolution. We all could use more of that in our marriages!

What to expect?

  1. Eat together. We begin each session with couples eating together—light Hors d'oeuvres as we begin, and dessert mid-way through. This helps to create the atmosphere of a date—time for you to talk quietly at your private table for two.

  2. Watch the episode. The episodes are around 45 minutes in length, with breaks for conversations; the whole evening lasts about 2 hours. Each episode explores a different topic through real experiences, expert insights, and relevant teaching.

  3. Talk privately. Providing space for couples to have private, intimate conversations is a must for every course. It helps enable couples to engage openly and honestly throughout the session. Did we say there is NO group or public sharing of any kind? It'’s all completely private!
